The Question

I have tempered my wants

by what is practical

and what is realistic and feasible and affordable.

In full awareness of how my wants affect others.

And so my wants have been whittled,

to a toothpick,

to a shadow.

so lost I cannot even answer the question.

But!

What a deliciously powerful question it is-

when the answers begin to take shape.

when they bubble up from the deepest yearnings,

unapologetically

Mine.

When they arrive and settle in as

Home.

So now I’m asking you:

What do you want?

What do you want?

What do you want?
